Human Health in Paris

Explore the origins of medicine in the city of lights. 

From the late 18th century to the early 20th century, Paris was the heart of scientific progress in health and established principles and approaches in modern medicine. Simultaneously, the cultural expression of medical concepts became a repeated theme, with anatomical depictions in art and sickness embodying characters in novels and operas. 

Our summer study abroad program in Paris, France encourages students to experience the historical milieu that has set the standard for modern health care. The program offers an integrated approach to health, crossing borders of cultures and disciplines.
