Dr. Gavegnano Delivers 2024 Convocation Speech

"I am a drug discoverer, a scientist, a teacher, a mother, and a wife. I always tell my two daughters that one of the most important jobs I will ever have is to love them, support them, and help them feel happy. In my role here at Emory, I view students in the same light. My own “Purpose Project” has been the Gavegnano Drug Discovery Program, which brings undergraduates directly into our work of discovery, ideas, human clinical trials, and FDA approval of new treatments saving lives in real time.
