- Please list your major(s), minor, and/or concentration.
- Major: Economics & Human Health
- Minor: Sociology
- Why did you choose your major/minor offered from the Human Health department?
I chose to pursue a joint degree in Human Health and Economics because I was drawn to the intersection of public health, policy, and economic decision-making. This focus allows me to combine my interest in healthcare with quantitative analysis to make a real-world impact on people’s well-being.
- What advice do you have for someone considering a major/minor in Human Health at Emory?
- The Human Health department offers an incredibly diverse range of courses, so I’d definitely encourage you to explore as many electives as you can. Additionally, If a class isn't officially cross-listed with Human Health but clearly ties into health topics, appeal to have it count. One of the strengths of this program is how flexible and interdisciplinary it is. You can really shape your experience to reflect your personal interests, whether that’s public policy, global health, economics, etc.
- What part of the Emory experience do you enjoy the most?
- Getting the chance to meet so many amazing people that I get to call my friends.
