What is your major/minor?
Human Health BA with German Studies minor

Why did you decide to major/minor in Human Health at Emory?
I was always somewhat interested in health coming into college but I always knew medicine was not for me. I took HLTH 200 (Peer Health Partners) and HLTH 250 (Global Health) my freshman year and was so interested in all the aspects of health beyond just medicine that I realized there was a place for me in the health sector without having to be a doctor. This major was a way for me to pursue that interest.

Once you receive your degree in Human Health at Emory, what's next for you?
I will be working as a Project Manager for Epic Systems and eventually pursue my MPH.

What advice do you have for someone considering a major/minor in Human Health at Emory?
Embrace the translational electives to the fullest. This requirement provides opportunities to not just apply health concepts but engage with people outside of your coursework in meaningful ways. My translational courses provided me unique opportunities to get some "real world" experiences.

What part of the Emory experience do you enjoy the most?
Emory gave me an opportunity to be a leader in so many different ways. The Human Health department in particular gave me opportunities to connect both with younger students as well as employees through the Health 1,2,3,4 program. The opportunity to lead my own classes and group coaching sessions gave me so much confidence in finding my voice. I feel so prepared to begin my professional career with all the tools I have learned in communication and teamwork.
