- What is your major/minor?
- Human Health BA & Dance & Movement Studies BA
- Why did you decide to major/minor in Human Health at Emory?
- When I came to Emory, I felt very torn between my interests in STEM and the humanities. I loved that the Human Health department allowed me to combine disciplines and embrace my writing skills alongside science.
- Once you receive your degree in Human Health at Emory, what's next for you?
- I am hoping to begin a career as a health and science journalist while continuing to perform in freelance dance projects.
- What advice do you have for someone considering a major/minor in Human Health at Emory?
- Embrace the opportunities that interest you, no matter how non-traditional they may be! I would not be the person or student that I am if I had not had the opportunity to study dance, writing, and human health together.
- What part of the Emory experience do you enjoy the most?
- I loved working with Professor McKenna and writing for the Health News Team [on the Exploring Health Blog]. Her mentorship helped me develop my voice as a writer and gave me the opportunity to meet and interview so many incredible researchers, physicians, and artists. I also loved dancing with Emory Dance Company all four years of college!
