LIVING HEALTH WEEK: FALL 2023

October 16-21: Welcome to a Week of Meditative Moments and Living Your Purpose

Living Health Week is a time when we bring concepts out of the classroom and apply them to our own lives. Join us for an uplifting week.

The restorative power of mental relaxation is clear. Taking moments to breathe, appreciate the sights and sounds of nature, and simply be in the moment are important for health. It is how we can find our well-being and gain clarity of our purpose. Join us for daily visions of health, meditative moments, and insight on how to identify pivot points in your day for living your purpose.

Emory’s Purpose Professor Dr. Christine B. Whelan teaches that purpose is a verb, not a noun. It is something we can do on a daily basis when we use our gifts, in keeping with our values, to make a positive impact on the people, ideas, and causes we care about most. “There’s a real cost in personal and social well-being and health when we do not make time to look inward, act prosaically, and build a life that enriches us,” Dr. Whelan comments “so now is a great time to take small steps.” Follow Dr. Whelan on our IG Stories as she incorporates purpose into everyday life.
